So you’ve decided to make the drive out to Eerie Acres Farm this fall. Good call. But before you load up the car, here’s everything you need to know to have the best night possible.

Get There Early

The midway opens at 7 PM and the haunt starts at dark. If you show up right at 7, you’ve got time to walk around, grab food from one of the on-site food trucks, and settle in before things get intense. The vibe on the midway is honestly great even without going through the haunt. There’s a DJ, the bonfire is going, and the beer garden is pouring Helltown Brewery and Creekside Cellars wines.

You can buy tickets at the door, but grabbing them online ahead of time means one less thing to deal with when you arrive. General admission is $25 and Fast Pass is $45. If you’re the type who hates standing in line (and who doesn’t), the Fast Pass is worth every penny on a busy Saturday night.

Dress for the Farm

This is Butler County, not downtown. You’re going to be walking on grass, gravel, and through a cornfield in the dark. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Layers are smart. October nights in western PA can swing from comfortable to cold fast, and you’ll be glad you brought a hoodie once you’re sitting by the fire after the haunt.

Bring Your Crew

Eerie Acres is a group experience. The more people you bring, the better the reactions are going to be, and honestly, that’s half the fun. If you’ve got 20 or more, you get a group discount ($2 off per person). They also offer private party packages with reserved bonfire areas and tents, so if you’re planning a birthday or a company outing, it’s a killer option.

Friday vs. Saturday

Here’s a pro tip: go on a Friday. Saturdays are busier, the lines are longer, and you’re competing with everyone else who had the same last-minute idea. Fridays are more relaxed, less crowded, and the actors have more time to mess with you because the groups are smaller. It’s the same haunt, same bonfire, same everything. Just a better flow.

Opening Night Is the Move

The first night of the season is always something special. The actors are fired up, the energy is electric, and Eerie Acres typically runs a $5-off opening night deal. It’s the cheapest night of the season and arguably the most fun.
